I've got a 9 user McLeod Loadmaster v11.2 system I want to move from one physical server (running OS 2003R2 SQL 2005) to another physical server running Server 2012R2 SQL 2012. I can do some of the grunt work myself (installing SQL, loading service paks, etc), but I am not knowledgeable enough about how it works under the hood to do it all and guarantee minimal downtime. It's only a 5GB db. McLeod has quoted a price justifiable only for a 25 user+ system and a 50GB db. They want paid in advance, and it if takes less time than they quoted (which it should), they keep the funds for the unbilled hours on our account as a "credit" against future work. I've been trolling everywhere I can think of and ran across this small Transportation forum here. Looking for some advice, guidance, etc. Willing to hire if I can be guided to the right...
